We run our practice on Clio, work flexibly, and focus on delivering excellent outcomes for families navigating difficult transitions. As one of our first attorney hires, you will have a real voice in how the firm grows.
The Role
We are seeking a mid-level litigation attorney (3–6 years of experience) to manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, custody and parenting time, child and spousal support, and property division. You will handle matters from intake through resolution, with significant client contact and courtroom responsibility. The position is remote/hybrid; in-person court appearances are required as needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of family law matters with a high degree of independence
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other filings
- Appear at hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials, in person when required
- Conduct client consultations and maintain regular, responsive client communication
- Negotiate settlements and develop case strategy in the client’s best interest
- Maintain accurate time records, case files, and deadlines in Clio
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active admission to the Illinois bar, in good standing
- 3–6 years of litigation experience, with meaningful family law experience strongly preferred
- Courtroom experience, including motion practice and evidentiary hearings
- Strong writing, negotiation, and client-management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment
- Familiarity with legal practice management software (Clio a plus)
